About our counsellor

Battling an addiction can feel like an uphill struggle, but you never have to walk this path alone. With 15 years of dedicated experience and genuine lived understanding, we provide professional, person-centred counselling across Meath, Offaly, Kildare, and Westmeath.

Understanding built on real lived experience

My dedication to addiction counselling stems from my own personal journey through addiction and depression. As someone in long-term recovery, I bring both the courage and empathy required to truly connect with those battling their own demons. I deeply understand the pain, shame, and isolation you may feel, as well as the immense strain placed on families and loved ones. You are met not with clinical detachment, but with authentic compassion.

Professional standards and trusted accreditation

With full accreditation from Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (ACI) and 15 years of clinical practice, our work combines genuine personal insight with rigorous therapeutic standards. We specialise in supporting clients across the Midlands dealing with alcohol, drug, gambling, and sex addictions, along with relationship and marriage difficulties. Every individual’s story is unique, which is why we reject a 'one size fits all' approach in favour of tailored, humanistic support.

What to expect from your first session

Taking the first step into recovery is often daunting. When you arrive for your initial confidential appointment, you will receive a warm, non-judgemental welcome. This is a secure space where you are encouraged to speak your truth with total honesty and integrity. Together, we look at the root causes of your addiction and map out practical, sustainable ways forward at a pace that feels right for you.

"Finding someone who genuinely understood what addiction felt like from the inside changed everything. I felt heard, respected, and finally able to speak the truth without fear of judgement."
